New C 5 and D 5 live sound microphones
deliver a unique combination of the best performance and durability.
AKG Acoustics debuts the new C 5 and D 5 vocal microphones at the
2007 Winter NAMM show, establishing new performance standards for live
performance microphones. The C 5/D 5 Series features an attractive and
robust new industrial design with the highest quality and durability
standards, along with excellent sound and unmatched feedback
resistance for professional musicians.
Based on extensive market research and performance testing
conducted in 2006, AKG has incorporated superior transducer technology
with maximum isolation of handling noise to deliver pristine of vocals
in every venue from small clubs to large concert stages. “Our goal was
to create vocal microphones that would set new standards for
performance and reliability in the live sound microphone market,”
stated Stefan Gubi, President of AKG Acoustics GmbH. “Through unique
features and new technologies such as our Laminate Varimotion
diaphragm, AKG’s new C 5 and D 5 microphones deliver unmatched
performance, providing musicians with superb sound quality and
outstanding durability.”
The C 5 condenser vocal microphone and D 5 dynamic vocal microphone
each feature a dent-resistant spring steel wire mesh grille cap for
maximum protection of the capsule and a rugged zinc alloy die-cast
housing, which can withstand tough use during animated live
performances. An integrated shock absorber system minimizes handling
noise exceptionally well.
The C 5 features a 24-carat gold-sputtered housing that protects
the condenser capsule against moisture and humidity plus a removable
Presence Boost adapter for increased intelligibility.
The D 5 dynamic includes the new Laminate VarimotionTM
diaphragm technology to deliver smooth frequency response and the
highest gain-before-feedback.
The D 5 is also available in a switched model, the D 5 S, which
features an On/Off switch on the body.
All models include value-added components such as gold-plated XLR
output connectors for loss-free signals, a vinyl carrying bag and
stand adapter. |
